NE Jurisdiction Waives 2020 Apportionments
At a special meeting on June 13, the Northeastern Jurisdiction Vision Table voted to waive NEJ Apportionments (Mission Shares) for the remainder of the year. They had previously approved waiving billing for the second quarter of 2020. By postponing the Jurisdictional Conference until 2021 and asking all Jurisdictional committees to meet virtually during 2020, the NEJ has reduced expenses and is able to pass the savings along to conferences and local churches
Be Sure Your Church EIN is Correct
Pastors and church treasurers should have received an email on June 12 about your church’s Employer Identification Number (EIN). Some churches have been inadvertently using the wrong numbers.

Wanakee Suspends Summer Camp 2020
Suspending camp will have serious financial consequences for Wanakee. They are so grateful for those who have already donated to camp and helped to ensure that their mission will live on through and beyond this time. You can give now at www.wanakee.org/give.
Continue to Join - Wanakee From Home
Wanakee’s staff, volunteers, and campers have been bringing some summer camp joy into homes through a range of (virtual) interactive activities.
They've done "pet show and tell," Harry Potter (the game), rock art, social lunches, devotionals, game nights, and much more. With 1-2 options each day, Wanakee community members of all ages will find something to look forward to each week.

IMPORTANT - PPP Information
Pastors, please notify the district office if you are applying/have applied for a PPP loan. While you do not need permission to apply, financial institutions may require permission from your judicatory to take a loan. Taesung can provide a letter if needed.
PPP LOAN APPROVED? SPECIAL CHARGE CONFERENCE REQUIRED Bishop Devadhar has advised that each church ratify the approval of their loan at a specially called charge conference*. This does NOT need to be done prior to applying for the loan. Please follow the Book of Discipline protocols (¶ 246) for a Charge Conference (e.g. consult DS, give 10-days’ notice via two forms of communication, etc). The conference may be held virtually. Please send a letter to the district office requesting this conference (sample letter below).
* Please note that a Charge Conference differs from a Church Conference, requiring participation of church council members (only). Refer to BOD ¶ 246.
Sample Charge Conference Request Letter
We continue to encourage all churches in NEAC to apply for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. Please review the documents on our webpage www.neumc.org/CARES that can answer most of your questions and guide you through the process.
Loan Forgiveness - It is very important that you keep detailed records throughout this entire process. GCFA and Wespath as well as Horizons Stewardship have information; find that on our website at www.neumc.org/CARES
