Churches asked to create       relief supply buckets

Pastor David Arruda, temporary emergency response coordinator for the New England Conference, reports that as of early this morning there are 3 tropical disturbances and Hurricane Sam in the southern Atlantic, all moving slowly (8-10 mph) east-northeast over the next 10-14 Days. These late-season storms tend to make landfall further up the East Coast, threatening New England.

In preparation, Pastor Arruda is asking churches to assemble UMCOR Cleaning Kits and Hygiene Kits (links below), as our current inventory is very low.

Churches are asked to store these kits until the first of the year, while the Conference establishes a long-term storage solution for disaster response supplies and equipment.
